March Madness can either be uplifting or heartbreaking — it all depends on which end of the buzzer beaters you’re rooting for.
Bill Murray was on the receiving side of such heartache Sunday night, when his son Luke Murray’s Xavier men’s basketball team was upset by Wisconsin in the NCAA Tournament’s second round. Luke Murray is an assistant coach for the outgoing 2-seed in the East, enjoying a successful first season with the Musketeers. Now he’s suffering, as is dad.
Unfortunately for the Murrays and Xavier, the team was dropped by a last-second corner three-pointer courtesy of 7-seed Wisconsin. The moment left Bill Murray stunned, and the cameras caught the reaction. Naturally, the Internet went wild over such an opportunity, and the memes soon followed.
